The Upper Eastside welcomed a lovely new bistro in recent months and It’s just what Biscayne Boulevard needed! LA SOCIAL is a casual but lovely spot complete with a menu that reflects a move towards healthier eating, serving fresh, organic, lighter fare. Dishes come with plenty of greens, generous helpings of fruit and plump cuts of avocado. Choices include salads, sandwiches, wraps and even a MYO (make your own) pizza. For those of us with a sweet tooth, there’s a marvelous assortment of freshly baked pasties and cakes! As it’s opened early for breakfast, the menu features several egg dishes as well as a variety of smoothies and juices.
There are oohs and aahhs as soon as you step inside. Sunlight streamed through the oversize windows to a modern, clean and uncluttered space. A few whimsical touches – a collection of vintage clocks on one wall, the clustered jewel-inspired pendant lighting, the eye-catching salt & pepper shakers – add a fun element to the casual ambience. The walls are painted a light mid-century palette in a nod to its MiMo location. The young staff who takes care of you is delightful – friendly, helpful and efficient.
LA SOCIAL is conveniently located on the NE corner of Biscayne Boulevard and 76th street under a large, stately tree. Its exterior is painted a lovely pale shade of pink which is enhanced by striped blue awnings. Both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s open at 8am for breakfast until 8pm at night except for Sunday 9am-6pm. Parking is available on the small lot next to the restaurant but there’s ample space to park in the neighboring streets too.
